Advanced DPF Cleaning System
Regular cleaning is the proven way to save on unexpected costs from a failing diesel particulate filter (DPF). DPF cleaning also prevents runaway fuel costs and unexpected downtime.
The overall life of your DPF is reduced when ash becomes imbedded in the filter cells. As this ash hardens, it becomes more difficult to remove, leading to non-functioning cells that are plugged with soot.
The cleaner your DPF, the longer its life expectancy. But not all DPF cleaning systems are created equal. Pneumatic cleaning equipment fails in accuracy—DPFs are more difficult to recover because these machines do not clean each individual cell within the DPF.
Here at AECS, we rely exclusively on FSX DPF cleaning equipment. Here’s why:
• The FSX cleaning equipment accommodates all models of DPFs and DOCs (diesel oxidation catalysts).
• The FSX cleaning system is the ONLY DPF system to be Independently approved by OEM (original equipment manufacturer) engineers.
• The FSX TrapTester® is the ONLY industry-standard airflow test bench to evaluate restricted airflow in the DPF accurately.
• The FSX cleaning system is the ONLY process that cleans both sides of the DPF.
• The FSX TrapBlaster® cleans most DPFs completely in just 22 minutes.
• The FSX TrapBurner® successfully removes 100% of DPF soot.
• Damaged DPFs in need of repair are diagnosed during the first 2 minutes of cleaning.
• The FSX system includes the only industry-approved test bench that accurately certifies the success of cleaning as well as identifying DPFs that need trap burner thermal cleaning.
• FSX DPF cleaning equipment compares the results of your tests with airflow standard baselines to certify your level of DPF recovery.
How does the FSX DPF cleaning system work? It consists of four machines: The TrapBlaster®, The FSX SootSucker®, The FSX TrapTester®, and the FSX TrapBurner®.
The TrapBlaster® uses patented bi-directional air scanning to clean both sides of the DPF. Dual nozzles address each cell at a time with high pressure and extreme airflow. The lower nozzle causes hardened ash to break up, and the upper nozzle blows out the loosened ash. It can be adjusted to focus on particularly difficult areas. The SootSucker® is a two-stage filtration system that safely collects the dust from the TrapBlaster®. The TrapTester® mimics the airflow of a heavy-duty diesel engine to certify successful cleaning. It also recognizes when DPFs need thermal cleaning in the TrapBurner®.
Regardless of your make and model of DPF, the efficient FSX DPF cleaning system allows us to offer you a quick turnaround to keep your fleet on the road.
